Long Live Lodging Network Launches “Top Floor”

New Podcast Hosted by Industry Marketing Expert Susan Barry to Provide

Tangible Tips and Meaningful Experiences

ATLANTA, September 14, 2021—Long Live Lodging, an online news organization that covers the hospitality industry, today announces the launch of its newest podcast, Top Floor.

Hosted by longtime industry marketing expert Susan Barry, the podcast features in-depth conversations with prominent hospitality figures who provide actionable advice based on real-world experiences in hospitality marketing.

“Our mission at Long Live Lodging is to tell meaningful stories that offer valuable insights into the hospitality industry. Top Floor checks all the boxes in helping us achieve that goal,” said Judy Maxwell, editorial director at LLL.  “With her sense of humor, easy conversational style and established credentials, Susan comfortably engages the audience and, at the same time, provides valuable information. It’s a fun and informative listen.”

Barry founded and has operated Hive Marketing agency since 2009. Previously, she spent a decade as a director of sales and marketing for multiple Starwood hotels in Washington, D.C., Denver and Atlanta. Barry is a founding board member of She Has a Deal (SHaD), a real estate investment platform that creates pathways to hotel ownership and development for women. A Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), she received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State University.

Each episode of Top Floor begins with the “Emergency Call Button,” a listener question related to a specific marketing issue that Barry and her guest thoughtfully answer. After a lively and enlightening conversation, the episode wraps up with “The Loading Dock,” a short segment where guests share their “craziest, funniest or just-plain-weirdest” hospitality stories.

“The most interesting and useful conversations I have had are the ones that teach me something I didn’t know,” Barry said. “I plan to bring that same level of inquisitiveness and solution-seeking to Top Floor, particularly as the industry continues the long and hard road to post-pandemic recovery. More than ever, hoteliers require actionable guidance to the questions that have slowed business. By speaking to the people in the trenches that have come up with meaningful solutions to these overarching issues, I plan to help navigate the road to recovery and bring some much-needed levity to our industry along the way.”
